Club Sail - Baltimore to Galesville and back!

Join Max Poston for two days of sailing on his boat and home, "Stanhope", a 1984 Ericson 381 from Baltimore to Hartge and back. 

Meet at 7 am on Saturday July 20 at Harborview Marina, sail down the Patapsco River to the Bay and into Hartge's Yacht Harbor.  Return to Baltimore on Sunday July 21.  This is a 35 nm trip each way, so be prepared for 7 to 10 hours enroute.

If you're ready for a manageable challenge before ASA 104, or to practice the skills you learned there, this is a convenient opportunity to sail a number of varied environments in a short period of time. We'll be spending the night at the Hartge cottage or on ANSA boats and sailing back Sunday. Because of the traffic and conditions, active participation is expected, including with preparation and cleanup. ASA103 required, members sign up individually, guests will be considered on a case by case basis.

We will coordinate on provisioning. Dress for any and all weather! Foul Weather Gear is advised, it could rain anytime. Sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, clips for hats and glasses, PFD if you have one, and closed-toe, non-marking shoes.

SPECIAL NOTE:  A cat lives aboard Stanhope, so if you have a severe cat allergy this may affect you.

The fee this two day event is $120. If you are a student this season and have not used your free club sail, or have a gift certificate, select the student option and pay only $60.
