ASA 103, Basic Coastal Cruising, will be taught over 3 consecutive days on Bay Flyer, a Hunter 31, or similar vessel. Classes begin on Friday at 9:00 am and run from 9 am to 5 pm Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This class does not include overnights.
ASA 101 is a prerequisite for this class, as well as at least 24 hours of sailing practice.
Please order your 103 textbook, Coastal Cruising Made Easy, directly from ASA.com or Amazon, or order the digital version. Give yourself time to read the book and complete exercises before the class.
Come prepared for the weather including sunscreen, sunglasses/glasses straps, hat/clip, closed-toe non-marking shoes, layers, foul weather gear. Bring your own PFD if you have one.
Bring lunch, snacks, drinks, water bottle and a small cooler pack if needed.
